Inspired, together. 🎥🪩🎭

The months are flying. The days quickly become weeks and here we are in May. We are moving together. The flowers from the rains and the avocados from the lightning are abundant. Let’s breathe deeply, it’s time for connection, to nature and to each other, as we are all in this together. 

I like incorporating physical to the work. When we come into the room we stand in a circle and we stretch and do breath-of-fire then qi gong connection and we laugh and breathe and eradicate the ego and tune in to our senses and tune into each other and here we are! 

The technique class has wrapped up in Playa. What a beautiful completion. A lot of learning takes place in technique class and it’s very exciting when the moment of understanding washes over the actor. Once you understand it, you can do it, and yes they do it! From the moment 2 moment exercise to scene work and all the improvisations and specifics along the way, the time together is lasting.

Scene Study class is buzzing. Four scenes went up on their feet and they were riveting. Each scene felt like the essence of the playwright’s purpose was realized. From Arthur Miller to George F. Walker; from the funny to the painful, from one actor to the next, inspiration on every level.
